26-Apr-00 Mounting Flush Valve Stems Part 2

Mounting Flush Valve Stems Part 2

ImageSince it didn't say anything in the instructions (did I say instructions? Hehe) I took it upon myself to go a step further and apply some silicone on the inside around the valve to help it seal. I then screwed the nut on with the convex washer and tightened it down. After tightening I wiped the excess silicone off and repeated this with all the wheels.
ImageHere is what the finished valve looks like with the adapter in place. Looks almost like a normal valve.
ImageHere is what the finished valve looks like without the cap.
ImageAnd the final shot with the cap screwed in place. This gives the wheel a nice clean look. I'd rather not have any rubber showing on this side, but I don't think it will stand out.
ImageYeah Baby! I just had to slide a wheel on to check out the fit. Plenty of room with these beauties for the brakes and what a look! The valve “stem” is in the upper right on this photo. Now its time to mount the tires.
